We are excited to announce that we have received an Insurance Services Office (ISO) Class 2 rating! We are the only fully volunteer fire department in Connecticut to achieve this prestigious recognition, and one of only two fully volunteer fire departments in New England with this rating. This accomplishment is a testament to the commitment, dedication, and professionalism of our members.

The Newington Volunteer Fire Department proudly serves the Town of Newington which contains over 30,000 people in a 13 square mile area. Approximately 100 members, who are all volunteers, operate out of 4 stations. In addition, a 5th station is used for our Cadet Division, which are for members under the age of 18.
